Exposed Plumbing

How about the exposed pipes? Rustic and raw. Industrial and semi institutional. It looks like the type of application you might see in an old cabin. This wasn't a mistake or a way to cut a corner. It's their brilliant little way to give the space some style. This is the Hotel Basico in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.

  1. It has its own appeal, but my main concern with exposed plumbing is that when there's a leaky pipe, it is easily noticeable. I believe there are also perks on that though, like knowing when problems occur in an instant. And you can get to show your crafty persona by designing the pipe paths and creating a theme for the system of pipes, fittings, valves and all. -->Gayle
