Copper Pendants

The copper pendant.  A sweet design element here.  These are the perfect size that also give a little flair in their glossy shine and hammered texture.  I also like how they chose to pair the off white cabinetry with the bright white of the carrara marble tops.  A warmer vibe.

Wide Open Beach House

Just in time for the holiday.  This little gem off the northeastern coast of New Zealand is fresh.  All one residence designed as a series of pods (or pavilions) and connected by this massive communal deck.

Love the look and feel of the metal roof with the glorified shingle pattern.

Killer views from every angle in this place.  The design welcomes the outdoors inside.

A modern element to the overall design with a subtle retro vibe in some of the furnishings.

Paper Bag

A New York City boutique looks to get creative and carry on their industrial vibe.  The answer was to get crazy with paper bags.  They added approximately 25,000 and the result is this freaky honeycomb pattern.

Simple Reception

This space to me is badass.  It's the reception/waiting area at this funky little watering hole in Toronto called Parts & Labour.  I like it because they designed it their way and they really don't care what anyone else thinks.  It's a minimalistic approach filled with a ton of creativity.  Check it.  The huge, old school satellite dish turned hanging fixture.  Plastered, painted and covered in gold leaf.  The limestone stools.  Hand-carved to replicate the work of beaver getting after a log.  And why not hang a print of a brick wall on a brick wall?  Genius.  Killer ideas and great conversation pieces.  You can also check this post over at Fred Flare.

The Green Line

Here's a creative way to connect one space to another.  Bring them both together with a continuous green glass tile threshold that stretches the length of this NYC loft.  A sweet balance with the overall color scheme from the golden tones of the travertine to the warm walnut in the hardwood.  I love the unique approach they've taken to distinguish the space.

The Isolated White Art Studio

They call it the Squish Studio.  A 322 square foot all white, contemporary space located on Fogo Island, just outside of Newfoundland, Canada.  Designed to take on the crazy weather and high winds of the North Atlantic, the front of the building boasts a low ("squished") profile while the rear rises tall.

Standing proud and looking out over the rocky terrain toward the Atlantic.  A place that inspires and embraces the forces of nature.

Lenny

Kickass Rockstar Lenny Kravitz shows off another medium and collaborates with Italian tile manufacturer LEA Ceramiche.  An obvious passion for creativity Lenny is also all about expressing himself in the design world.  This custom three dimensional line is Lenny's stylized version of water in black and white.  A sweet look that's been designed to mimic the idea of moving water, reflecting light and casting shadows.  You can also check this post over at Fred Flare.
